Pay a small booking fee (10% of the preferred rate) to secure your spot. We’ll email you a confirmation with your booking details — the studio will recognise your appointment by your name and time. Pay the remaining balance at the studio when you arrive.

The fine print

Two payments. A small booking fee now — card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay — holds your slot. You pay the rest to the studio in person on the day, just like any normal appointment.
These are last-minute slots, so we ask you to honour what you book. The booking fee is non-refundable — it’s what holds the slot. The studio portion is never charged by Spur; you only pay it in person on the day, so there’s nothing else to refund. If the studio cancels, your booking fee is returned in full automatically. Genuine emergency? Email hello@usespur.au and we’ll look at it fairly. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply.
Yes, every partner is vetted by our team. We visit each studio before they list and limit how many partners we accept per suburb to keep the directory curated.
Studios open their quiet hours at a preferred rate — an empty chair earns nothing, so filling one, even at a lower rate, works in their favour. You book a studio you’d want anyway; they fill a gap that would’ve sat empty. The studio keeps everything you pay them, and Spur is funded by your small booking fee, never a cut of their work.

Most studios hold the slot 10 minutes. After that, you'll need to reschedule. Call the studio directly if you're held up, many will be flexible if you let them know.
